Seventh Workday

Next week I will be taking photos of my website. My progress has honestly been all over the place. I spend most of my time catching up, Rather than working on my actual website. Now that I am caught up all up to date I can spend more time to focus. Focus on my website and incorporating all the information I got to it. I really need to get things moving so that I don't fall behind again.
The website I'm using is for more experienced website builders, But I'm doing very good so far. I mean I'm behind on where I want it to be but I am sure I can do better. On the other hand its half way through the project and I'm halfway done so in a way I'm caught up.

Sixth Workday

My told me that he will teach me how to put the videos into my site so that I give all credibility to author. I'm looking forward to this. He also reviewed my site and he said he liked it so far . He told me to make sure to have detailed explanations and backgrounds on each thing I do. I will be sure to go back and edit them.
The layout has been changed . I felt as if I needed more space. Everything was all bunched together. It really didn't look that good. I feel better about it now. I have more space to move around.

Fifth WorkDay

Today I worked on gathering the information I got from various people. I have everything organized in my English notebook. I still have yet to find a book that will be suitable for this topic from our library but I shall keep looking. My mom ( Expert) told me if I need anymore information she will be sure to tell me more. I'm really going to take advantage of her offer at many times.
Now I still have to figure out how to incorporate the YouTube videos I found with my website. I have to be very careful and make sure I credit to the author of the videos. I may end up changing the layout of my website. To me it looks more and more boring as the days go by. Hopefully all the details I put into it helps it look brighter .

Fourth Workday

I talked to my mom about some cultural music and dances and She gave me such amazing information. She informed me about native dances and mascots that use dancing for various things . She also talked about the colors they use in the fabrics and what each color means for the dancers. Some dancers wear beads and some wear masks. It was overall very interesting . I will be sure to incorporate what she told me into my website .
I'm also thinking about incorporating videos from YouTube into my websites. Whenever I figure out how to do so, Hopefully its sometime soon. I really think that it will help the audience understand the movement and everything about this culture as one. They will be able to see the outfit, Colors, Accessories , Music and dancing all together as one. This project is helping me with my dancing because I'm interested in learning how to incorporate their moves with other moves I know .

Third work day

Today I rearranged the items on my website.  I researched different African dances and tried to find gifs so they would catch the attention of the audience. I'm very excited about this project so far but I know that its going to take a lot of work . I still have a lot to do and I'm very far behind when it comes to my work ethnic. I really need to get my game up.
I still need to get a book that associated with my topic because I know a lot but not enough. I'm hoping that the website itself will be very appealing. I want it to catch the eye but not be too overpowering because I want the audience to pay attention to the information that is given and not just see it and let it go through their ears. I'm having very complications but I'm sure I can resolve them. Once I get caught up I can start exploring more things.

Update on website

Today while working on my website I looked online for more gifs that will decorate my website. I searched famous African dancers such as the unique silver dancers and the ceo dancers, But I also searched some African dances such as the shoki , azonto and kukere. African dances consist mostly of hip movement and moving of their butt. Their dances usually consist of moving those parts but also their whole body with it
Next week I intend on finding research in books alongside interviewing my mother and friends on African music and dances. Hopefully I can use their responds to update my website. Mostly I will be gathering a lot of interesting facts, lyrics , some videos and dances to make the website more appealing. Its going to be a hard project but if I keep everything up to date I should be able to accomplish it up to my expatiations.

About

Dear Readers-

My project is about African music and dances. In this blog I will be telling you about how I update my website which explains to its audience music by various African artist. Also it will have Dances created by these artists that go with specific songs and/or African dances and how they are incorporated in dances today. I may also have dances that have just been around in African culture.
This idea came to me because I feel like people will find it very interesting. Both of my parents are African so I've grown up around these kinds of music and dances. My friends around me find it interesting how the beats of mostly all African music makes you want to dance. Also how the dance moves are very different and fun to do. So I am looking forward to this project.
